Spectrum Health announces $151M in new care locations

Spectrum Health announces $151 million investments in West Michigan patient care locations. This will expand outpatient care services and provide convenient access to urgent and specialty care.

The projects will include a new ambulatory care and medical center next to the at Spectrum Health Downtown, Grand Rapids Hospital. The 11-story space will have several outpatient services, a simulation center to train and educate physicians, and hands-on technology to improve patient outcomes. It is expected to open in spring 2024.
Also included is a new Rural Health Clinic which will foster the much-needed outpatient care for the Lakeview community and surrounding area. The 15,800 square foot building will relocate the Lakeview Family Medicine practice, outpatient rehabilitation and walk-in clinic from their current locations and provide space for other services. This is expected to open in Spring 2023.
The final project is a new 33,000-square-foot building in the Big Rapids Family Medicine Clinic. This space will provide Spectrum Health’s first urgent care option and other ancillary services which are currently located in the hospital. This will also be opening in spring 2023.
